My mission
Hi, my name is Artem, and I'm the sole developer of the game. Coding, graphics, music, server, publishing - that's on me.
This game is inspired by nostalgia for retro-style virtual pet devices. It's a paid game, available for 1.99 USD only.
But there are no ads, no loot boxes or any other things which are common to many games now and which piss me off.

The game is finally out for iOS, big time!

Now, I'm going to prepare an Android version of the game, and maybe I'll be lucky enough to release it this fall too.

The development is going pretty steady, there are some things left to do, which I expect to finish before the end of October.
Currently, I'm finishing worm pet sprites and made some small bugfix. Also, I need to write a mini-game, like a snake game, probably.
Interesting thing about it is that last time when I wrote tetromino puzzle game for ACME OS pet, I leveraged ChatGPT to quickly generate me some core code, and it was real fast and convenient.
I just did some refactoring and then embedded the code in the game loop and wrote graphics rendering logic. With small adjustments, like score and difficulty progression it took
about 4 times less development effort than if I was developing it from scratch.
Next, I will calibrate pet needs, like hunger growth or aging.
Then, I'll need to write backend for the game, so players could see the scoreboard of both mini-games and how long their pets will have lived.

As I said in on of the posts below, there are mini-games specific to the pet type one plays with.
In this game, you have to eat as many flies as you can avoiding eating dung piles. So far, my high-score is about 150. Will see if it needs any extra tuning.

I'm working on the pet selection menu where one can see a preview of the pet, it's traits, and it's zodiac sign. I thought it would be fun if players could get a different personality of their pet based on the date they hatched it.

A few things about the game: it gives you virtual pet experience where one can feed, clean, put their digital buddies to bed.
Ultimately, it's a virtual-pet simulation video game. Initially, I'm going to release it for iOS this fall, then for Android, and then let's see how it goes.
You can also play mini-games with your pet, and it will occasionally tell you how it feels about different things you do.
And there is a scoreboard to see how long your pet has lived compared to other players and you can see minigame leaderboard too (after playing with your pet).
One important thing here: you can not see exact needs values of the pet,
but it is possible to see if it has any needs at the moment and how critical they are.
